Hi, I am Damien, the Gold Guy

I’ve been a gold buyer and collectables dealer for about 25 years. I started with Heritage International in Lower Hutt when I was just 23. Travelling across New Zealand and Australia on many buying campaigns as well as sorting stock and travelling to trade fairs in Asia to sell watches and numismatics.

From there I started my own business in Christchurch, Classic Jewellery Ltd. In my New Regent Street retail shop I bought and sold Antique jewellery and vintage pocket & wristwatches. I’ve moved around a bit, living in Australia and around the North Island and am now back home in Canterbury.

In all this time, I have seen many varied and wonderful things and have a great experience in identifying what is rare, what contains precious metals, what is worth restoring and what can be useful for parts.

The sorts of comments I hear from customers is that they find me easy and pleasant to deal with as well as reliable, honest and trustworthy. People often say after meeting me that my service is much more easy and comfortable than they imagined it would be.
